This site is a useful means of getting to grips with real world brain scans with cases that can be searched for according to disorder and symptoms. For example, a search for amnesia brings up a couple of interesting cases of transient global amnesia, one of which had raised suspicions concerning whether this was psychogenic amnesia without organic origin. The CT scan shows no abnormalities but the MRI shows signs within the hippocampus that encourage the diagnosis of transient global amnesia.
