    This is the website of the Australian Human Resources Institute, which accredits and assists professional human resource managers. The website has a range of resources ranging from peer reviewed academic journal links to ‘white papers’ on a range of topical HR areas and ‘HR Assist’ which provides overviews of key HR practices and their benefits.

    This is the website of the US Society for Human Resource Management. Online resources here include a wide variety of resources. Of particular use to students might be the ‘Templates and Samples’ resources which provide practically oriented documents and frameworks as well as the ‘Research and Metrics’ section which provides more in depth information from peer reviewed and other research as well as survey findings.

    The UK website for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development which states as its mission ‘providing better working lives’.  The CIPD’s research covers many aspects of HR, from recruitment to employment law, and work-life balance to productivity. Current research projects include a range of topical issues such as coaching, improving health through HRM, rewards and smart working.

    • This website presents an example of an organization that serves as an external contractor that sport organizations may outsource for their recruitment and selection activities. Sports Recruitment provides a variety of “talent acquisition services”, including executive searching.
    • It is an international organization that provides an online service, highlighting some of the contemporary approaches to organizational recruitment and selection.

    • You will find here tips and strategies for selecting the best employee. The tips pertain particularly to a state government, which constitutes a large hiring organization, but the recommended strategies apply to any position/organization.
