Welcome
This is the companion website for Descriptosaurus, a book that aims to provide children with a comprehensive resource to expand their descriptive vocabulary, and to demonstrate how words, phrases and clauses can be incorporated in a variety of sentence structures. Originally created to enthuse and engage children, this companion website contains extra resources that work alongside the Descriptosaurus book to further encourage creative writing in children.
The resources include:
- Downloadable documents, including writing tips, character profile ideas, sentence models and vocabulary banks

- Games and activities
- Lesson plans and planning sheets
By providing and connecting sentence models, ideas and descriptive vocabulary, I hope to fully engage children with the task of creative writing, rather than merely the mechanics of the language to tap into their imaginations and add colour to their writing.
